Horizon Financial Bank is looking for a Customer Service Representative. 

This position performs a variety of duties while providing frontline services to customers.  These services include but are not limited to:

  • Answering the telephone
  • Processing teller transactions
  • Balancing a cash drawer
  • Opening, maintenance, and closing deposit accounts (checking, savings, time deposits, IRA’s, etc.)
  • Assist customers with ATM and Debit cards
  • Assist customers with electronic banking products

This position requires the ability to maintain confidentiality of customers and provide excellent customer service.   Must be self-motivated, able to communicate effectively with others, and willing to work with others.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: from $14.00 per hour

Horizon Financial Bank is looking for a Bookkeeper.  This position is fillable at any of our locations which include: Bismarck, Devils Lake, Langdon, Munich and Osnabrock.  This position works with a team to support all functions assigned to the Bookkeeping Department.  All employees in this department rotate duties to manage the department’s workflow while providing customer service. 


Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with their accounts either over the phone, in person or by email.  This includes but is not limited to assisting with transfers, inquires, research, or statement reconciliations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain confidentiality with customer and employee information.
  • Complete ACH and Check returns
  • Initiate check adjustments
  • Process overdrafts and non-post items.
  • Serve as contact for client relations with ACH Origination.  Including processing originations files, conducting risk reviews, risk assessments, and origination agreements.
  • Reconcile internal and external accounts.
  • Review mobile bank deposits.
  • Maintenance customer accounts as needed.
  • Process incoming and outgoing wires.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and state regulations.
  • Process legal documents and correspondence within mandated time frames.
  • Complete required trainings.
  • Perform all other duties as required.


Qualifications

  • Prior banking knowledge required.
  • College level course work in accounting or business preferred.
  • Good computer, math and bookkeeping skills are needed.
  • Organization, attention to detail, and communication skills required.
  • Professionalism with customers and employees important.
  • Ability to adapt to interruptions while fulfilling daily functions needed.
  • Need to be a quick learner and able to work and train in several job functions.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality while dealing with customer information.
